June 2008 - Domain Privacy now avail. via Control Panel |
|
HelpingHost.com has added the much requested function to enable/disable Domain Privacy via Hosting Control Panel.
To enable/disable Domain Privacy, just login to your Hosting Control panel and look for the Domain Privacy Icon.
Every time you register a domain name, your name,
address and phone number are entered into a public database that can be
viewed and used by anyone. This exposes your personal information to spammers, telemarketers and other undesired third parties.
| Did
you know that when you register a domain name, your personal or
business name, address, email address and phone number are immediately
made available to anyone who wants to see them? That’s right. Your personal or business information is visible to anyone, anywhere. |
| We have the tool to change this. With our Domain Privacy tool, registering a domain name doesn't mean sacrificing your privacy. |
- Your domain information will be changed to Contact Privacy -- so our information is made public -- not yours.
- You retain full benefits of your domain, you are still the owner as you were before.
You can cancel, sell, renew, or transfer your domain; set-up name
servers for your domain; and resolve disputes involving your domain.
- The patent-pending telephone and email handling systems let you manage and control all postal mail and email addressed to the domain you have registered, as well as the domain's contact information.
- But don't even think about using a private registration to transmit Spam, violate the law, or engage in morally objectionable activities.
