Installing Javascript and PHP Frameworks

Did you know that our amazing auto installer allows you to install and keep up to date Javascript as well as PHP Frameworks?
I dabble in PHP and Javascript myself a bit for quite some years now. I personally really started to like Zend Framework as well as JQuery and Mootools.
But what a pain to keep it up to date all the time!
Recently while looking through our Auto installer I noticed a whole section called “JavaScript” and not far off I find “Frameworks”.

Now look at this list of one click installs in these sections:

Frameworks:

  • CodeIgniter
  • PHPDevShell
  • PRADO
  • Symfony
  • yii
  • Zend
  • DIY
  • PhpOpenBiz
  • xAjax
  • AjaxAC
  • Kohana
  • Smarty

Javascript:

  • script.aculo.us
  •  jQuery
  • Ext JS
  • Scripty2
  • MochiKit
  • MooTools
  • YUI
  • Prototype
  • Rico
  • Dojo
  • AJS
  • Raphael
  • Sizzle
  • PaintbrushJS

While I do not believe the initial install of a PHP or Javascript Framework to hard to accomplish, the following maintenance can be quite annoying.
If you however used our installer to do the initial install you get the following advantages:

  1. email notification when updates are released.
  2. a single click backup (right before upgrade for example)
  3. a single click upgrade!

How much easier could it be?
