It is quite amazing how perl scripts just some years back were the majority of scripts our customers used on their websites.
Movable Type was one of the most used scripts that I can remember on our machines (creating quite some load I might add)
Now however, I barely notice anybody using Perl scripts anymore on their websites.
Maybe this is due to the fact that most automatic installers like ours only offered the automatic or one click installation of PHP and Javascript apps.
Just recently however the vendor we are using for our automated installer added the option to install Perl scripts!
That in itself might not sound very exiting for most users. The great news is that they now also added the first perl script to our ever growing list of pre-installed apps.
Can you guess which script this might be? Movable Type of course!
